Welcome to Something Special

Being parents of children with ASD, we found there were no local groups available for support for preschool children. After some help from portage and other local mums we have managed to create a stay & play group for 0-6 year olds who have any kind of additional needs, where the children can play inside and outside and parents/carers can chat and share advice & experiences, and gain support with a nice cup of tea/coffee. We are now looking to organise special half term events & activities, extra weekly sessions, improve our arts & craft & get some sensory toys to help our little ones.

What Our Group Can Offer

Just some of the benefits our group can help you and your child with

Advice & Support

We offer a network of support & advice for Parents and carers to share their experiences and knowledge.

Learning Through Play

We have lots of opportunities for your children to learn through play, we offer arts & crafts, messy play, toys to enhance fine and gross motor skills.

Social Interaction

This allows your children to play within a small social group, make new friends and build social awareness. It also allows parents to socialise & offer support.
